More than a workshop
HSJI is a journalism workshop, yes, but also a time and space to sample college life and make friends with student journalists from across the country and even a few from across the world.

- Katie Easley has enjoyed taking photos for years, Katie says “i grew up not really clicking with a school subject, so I turned to photography and art more because it was what spoke to me.”

- Liz Cuzco raises her arms in front of a clock at Indiana University as if she is dancing. Cuzco created and performed Latin dances at the annual I-fest. “I think my favorite [dance] would be cumbia because they have so many turns and spins,” Cuzco said.
- Arms by her side, senior Veronica Terrell stands up for the racism issues throughout the country, on Wednesday July 12. “I believe that all lives are important and matter, but this movement helps express the importance of specifically black lives,” Terrell said. “As they are going through a tough and at times discriminating time.”
