Deep in Design
Junior interested in design since she was little
In an apartment on the north side of Chicago, Carolina Sada was always in her room changing things about it. She would rearrange the furniture or change the design of certain items. Sometimes she would even try to redesign other things throughout her apartment. Doing this sparked an interest for Sada at a very young age to become a designer or an interior designer.
“I’ve always liked design, being able to change things and make it your own way is interesting,” Sada said.
As a junior at Golder College Prep, she was one of the editors on the yearbook staff.. Sada’s job was based on design and making all the templates. In a school of 600 students, they didn’t print that big of a yearbook, but Sada talked about it still being fun to work on.
As for future plans Sada was undecided. She only ever looked at schools in Chicago until coming to the HSJI camp.
“I came to Indiana because this is a media school so if I like it here I might look more into the interior design aspect, ” Sada said. “If I like it a lot I will start looking more into the design programs for colleges.”
