Travel to Bloomington from the Indy Airport

Travel to Bloomington, Ind., from Indianapolis Airport

If you will be arriving by plane at the Indianapolis Airport, Bloomington is about 50 miles away. Various limo services provide round trips from Indianapolis to Bloomington for varied amounts depending on whether you’re wanting a private limo, sedan or a shared ride. Please check the websites listed below for more info. The limo companies pick up passengers near the baggage claim area at the Ground Transportation Center at the Indianapolis Airport and deliver them to Spruce Residence Hall in Bloomington — where registration is held for all sessions.

They will also provide door-to-door service on the return trip. Some limo companies: Classic Touch Limousine Service (www.classictouchlimo.com) and Go Express Travel (www.goexpresstravel.com), (800) 589-6004.

Shuttle Option:

Go Express Travel (www.goexpresstravel.com), (800) 589-6004. It leaves the Ground Transportation Center of the Indianapolis Airport every two hours beginning at 8:40 a.m. and makes its final departure from the Airport at 10:40 p.m. (check website for times/ rates). Tickets can be purchased online.

The Go Express shuttle stops at Willkie North, which is directly east of Spruce Hall, where you’ll be living. This is the closest stop, so we recommend departing at Willkie and calling the counselor office (812) 856-7111 and one of our staff will walk over and escort you to the dorm.

The Greyhound Bus is another option — it drops students off and picks them back up at the Bloomington Transit Center located at 301 S. Walnut Street in Bloomington. Students must let the HSJI office know in advance that you will need a ride to the dorm. Please email Linda Johnson at: ljjohnso@indiana.edu, with name, date and time you will need a ride, then when you arrive in Bloomington you should call the HSJI counselor office at (812) 856-7111 to make sure they know you have arrived.
