Advanced Photo/Video
Advanced Photo/Video participants will gain hands-on experiences in producing and editing photos, video and audio for Web-based high school publications. Conceptual topics will include how to package stories using multiple platforms and how to choose effective tools for the reporting task at hand. Although students will use Media School equipment, they also should have access to a smart phone. Students in the Advanced Photo/Video concentration will collaborate with other HSJI Newsroom students to publish projects in the HSJI Student Gallery. Although students must select a concentration (reporting, design, photo/video, or social media) when registering, they will have opportunities to practice multiple forms of journalism.
