HSJI Newsroom

Operating as a converged newsroom, students in this advanced workshop will publish multimedia stories on the HSJI website. Experienced journalism advisers will guide students in brainstorming stories, devising newsgathering strategies, and assembling and producing their contributions to the student gallery. Students will work in reporting teams to cover local newsmakers and events during the week.

Register in early 2019 for this workshop if you want to improve your skills as a 21st Century journalist and gain leadership experience in a newsroom setting. Although students must select a concentration (arts & entertainment or sports) when registering, they will have opportunities to practice multiple forms of journalism.
